I use many methods of driving traffic to my websites and affiliate promotions. One of the forms of traffic that I used to put at the back of the line was list building programs… you know the ones, there are dozens of twists, but they almost all do the same thing: exchange your time and efforts for traffic. Some work better than others (I know, I use a dozen of them myself), but there’s one that I’ve found works better than the rest….
Not only does it offer the highest commissions of any of the other sites I use, but it has features that make branding myself and my company almost too easy. I can get traffic to my website through multiple methods, and most importantly (to me at least), is that I don’t even have to “work” to make the system hand over impressive traffic results (and I can actually track those results right on the site… now that’s a testament to Mike’s confidence in the system)!

This post is for those of you that want to build an opt-in list, or who are already doing so.
Reed Floren, a highly successful marketer, is hosting a HUGE list building giveaway event.
The exposure that a contributor will receive will be amazing!
In most JV giveaways, each participant must promote the event or his gift will be deleted. This causes a dilemna for those marketers who do not yet have a huge list to promote to.
But, Reed’s giveaway has a LOOPHOLE that greatly benefits the “little guy”.
You see, Reed’s one time offer (OTO), which is a ridiculously low $17, entitles you to keep your gift listed even if you do not promote the event.
The OTO also allows you to download all the other members’ gifts through a direct link. This means no additional opt-in forms to complete and no emails from all those other marketers!
That is a huge bargain!

I was suprised to learn last week that effective March 31, 2008, eBay will no longer allow the sale of digital products such as ebooks except through the classifed ad section.
As you might well imagine, this decision by eBay has caused much controvery and concern as thousands of sellers derived all or part of their income from the sale of digital products.
Many of these sellers have decided to continue selling on eBay by converting their downloadable items to physical products by burning them to CD or DVD. Some of these sellers will do the work themselves, while others will outsource it.
I am sure this idea will be successful for them, although it will add to their wrokloads and costs of doing business.
So, in order to make all this work worthwhile, they will naturally have to charge a higher price for their items.
Of course, this will cut down on competition, because only those with high quality items to sell will be able to justify the higher selling prices.
Customers will also have to wait for their information products to be delivered.
One thing that I feel is being overlooked in all of this is that eBay’s policy states that the digital items may still be sold through the classified ad section.
After all, the whole reason for selling digital items in the first place is that the whole system can be completely automated.
All a seller will need to do to continue selling digital items from eBay’s classified ad section is to add their own PayPal button.
And, an added bonus is that classified ads may contain links to websites outside eBay. So, while you are selling your product, you could also direct the traffic to your website, opt in page or affiliate links.
The only challenge I see is that classified ads do not fall under eBay’s feedback system.
It amy not be so much of a problem for sellers who already have their feedback above 100.
Still, my question is, will the average eBay buyer care if the seller’s feeedback is not that recent?
That will remain to be seen.
So what will I do about eBay’s policy change?
Well, I truly believe that customers come to eBay looking for information and are willing to pay for it.
Also, eBay’s traffic is still there.
So, I am going to get my share of that traffic by selling top quality information products through classified ads, while continuing to build my opt in list and drive traffic to my affiliate links.
I acknowledge the challenges that the policy change brings, but I see it as a greater opportunity.
The cost?
I was listing each one of my digital items each day at a cosf of 35 cents listing fee for each item for a total of $10.50 per item for 30 days. This does not include the final value fees or the cost of maintaining an eBay store. And some of the items did not sell.
On the other hand, each classified ad costs $9.95 per month and you have the potential of selling multiple items from each ad as well as sending traffic to your website.
If you upgrade the ad to Featured Plus, you are almost certain of getting search engine traffic.
I’d say that is a pretty good bargain.
I don’t know for sure if my plan will work, but I am going to give it a try. After all, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
